Cinematic Vampires

This is a 1987 sequel to Salem's Lot, directed by Jeff Cohen. I still haven't seen the whole thing (and probably won't), but I watched part of it on television today.

Michael Moriarty stars as an anthropologist who comes to a small northeastern town to spend some time with his estranged son Jeremy. The town is infested with vampires. From what I watched, it seemed that the vampires wanted Moriarty to write their bible, a legend or history of their town for people to read and understand that they are just another race on the face of the earth. Allegedly, these vampires farmed cattle for blood so as not to kill other humans, though they admit that human blood tastes better.

This is not one I will probably ever see again, but it deserves it's place on this site.
