The Night Flier - Stephen King
A short story found in Nightmares and Dreamscapes (I think). This story centers around a report tracking down a story of murders at airfields across the eastern seacoast. It's a killer, in a plane that flies at night, and when the plane lands, death ensues for certain people. The reporter tracks down the killer, discovers a vampire, but with a surprising twist at the end.
One for the Road - Stephen King
A short story found in Night Shift. This story revisits the town of Salem's Lot, found in the novel of the same name by the same author. A man traveling through with his family gets stuck in the snow and walks six miles to get help. When help returns, the wife and child are missing, already turned into vampires.
